Apple and Berry Crumble

Ingredients

 The Crumble Topping

2 cups plain flour

1 cup brown sugar

2 cups oats

1 cup macadamia, Almond, or Cashew nuts, chopped

250g unsalted butter, cold & Cubed

 

Filling

1kg Granny Smith apples, peeled & chopped

1kg fresh blueberries, raspberries and boysenberries (any Berries)

zest of 1 lemon, 1 orange or 1 lime

¼ cup maple syrup or honey

½ cup icing sugar

⅓ cup corn flour

1 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)

 

To Serve

Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream

 

Method

Preheat oven to 180°C.

Mix filling ingredients together in a large bowl until combined and place in oven dish.

Rub together all of the crumble topping in a separate large bowl.

Cover the filling generously with the crumble topping.

Bake for 30-45 minutes at 180°C until golden.

Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
