REC Group, an international pioneering solar energy company, announced today that it will be showcasing the REC Alpha Pure-RX at All-Energy Australia in Melbourne, Victoria from 25-26 October 2023 (Stand Number: N113).

The REC Alpha Pure-RX is the highest power class residential solar panel that REC Solar has produced with a power output of up to 470 Wp and power density of 226W/m2 based on its advanced heterojunction solar cell technology (HJT).

With its four part junction box design, the Alpha Pure-RX delivers the same superior shading properties from its Alpha Pure-R design. It has a world-class power temperature coefficient of -0.24 % / °C that delivers high specific yields and a low operating current of less than 9 Amps to minimise DC cable losses. The Alpha Pure-RX is designed to withstand extreme weather conditions with its 30mm frame and support bars to manage snow loads of up to 7000 Pa.

At All-Energy, REC will unveil the REC Alpha Pro M, its HJT solar panel targeted at commercial and industrial projects. The Alpha Pro M is the highest power class solar panel available in the market with a power output of up to 640 Wp.

Together with the Alpha Pure-R, Alpha Pure-RX and REC Alpha Pro M, the Alpha family of solar panels will deliver a complete product extension across the residential, commercial and industrial project markets.

REC’s commitment to heterojunction solar cell technology

The Alpha family of solar panels marks REC’s commitment towards its Heterojunction (HJT) technology that delivers a higher energy conversion rate resulting in higher efficiency and energy yields.

The REC HJT comprises of hybrid cells that are made from two different materials: an N-type crystalline silicon and amorphous thin-film silicon. Designed for Australia’s hot climate conditions, the Alpha Series family of solar panels delivers a higher overall energy output with its superior temperature coefficient. These panels perform better under low light and hot days offering higher power generation with a guaranteed power output of at least 92 percent at year 25.

Gus Paviani, REC Head of Asia Pacific and Japan said, “The REC Alpha family delivers top-quality, high-performance solar panels for homeowners, businesses and now for commercial and industrial project markets.

REC has mastered HJT since 2019 as this has increased the performance of our Alpha Series family of solar panels. With the Alpha Pure-R, Alpha Pure-RX and Alpha Pro M solar panels, we are making a commitment towards delivering a full product lineup of heterojunction solar cell technology panels as they are suited for Australian conditions and customers who want to invest in quality solar that is responsibly manufactured.”

Creating a sustainable future and healthy spaces for customers

The REC Alpha Pure-R and Alpha Pure-RX solar panels have received a Declare label from the International Living Future Institute (ILFI). The ILFI operates the Living Building Challenge, the world’s most ambitious, advanced, and holistic performance standard for green, resilient, and healthy buildings.

The Declare label gives manufacturers a platform to disclose material ingredients as well as material health information. This two-in-one label makes complex information approachable and useful, provides manufacturers with a robust structure to share product data, and saves designers time. The International Living Future Institute applauds this milestone achievement for REC Group and their dedication to creating a transparent and sustainable world.

Paviani said, “Besides making a commitment to designing high-efficiency panels that are built to last, REC is committed to showing its dedication and leadership in this industry when it comes to designing healthy products, as well as its commitment to rigorous transparency, which is critical to creating a sustainable future.

The Declare label shows customers who want to invest in REC’s Alpha Pure-R and Alpha Pure-RX that its product is one that they can trust. This label further validates our commitment beyond competing on watt class and pricing to deliver a more sustainable product.”

Made in Singapore, exported to the world

With REC, customers have the confidence and peace of mind knowing they are investing in quality solar panels that are made at its solar manufacturing facility in Singapore and exported around the world. Singapore has some of the world’s most rigorous environmental and employment standards for manufacturing and REC has combined its high-efficiency innovations with sustainable manufacturing practices.

REC is leading the industry by eliminating the use of lead from its Alpha Series family of solar panels to make them RoHS compliant, offering better environmental protection when the product is prepared for recycling at the end of life.
