Australian company Food Recycle Ltd has opened a new capital raise via equity crowdfunding platform Swarmer to accelerate the rollout of its Food Recycle Co-Op model and bring its patented food waste-to-animal-feed technology to market at scale.

Food Recycle Founder and Managing Director Norm Boyle says the latest capital raise will help fast-track the first full-scale facility supporting the company’s newly established Co-Op model.

The raise follows the company’s earlier commercialisation campaign and reflects the next phase of growth, with Food Recycle now having secured its first licensing agreement with a NSW Co-Op formed by commercial food waste producers, in advance of a national rollout.

Food Recycle has developed patented and patent-pending technology that converts commercial food waste into high-performance animal feed for sectors including poultry, pigs, and aquaculture. The process diverts waste from landfill, reduces methane-generating emissions, and supports a circular economy by turning waste back into food production inputs.

“The Co-Op model is about giving food waste producers a smarter and lower-cost solution, while creating a sustainable business model that benefits members, the broader community, and the environment,” says Food Recycle Founder and Managing Director, Norm Boyle.

“This raise is designed to help us move faster at a critical time, as regulation and landfill pressures increase demand for practical food waste solutions.”

A true circular economy solution

Funds raised will be directed toward four key priorities: accelerating facility and engineering plans for the first full-scale licensed plant, supporting working capital and Co-Op membership growth, protecting intellectual property, and legal costs associated with scaling the licensing model.

The timing coincides with increasing pressure on waste infrastructure in NSW, with businesses expected to face new food waste separation requirements from mid-2026. Food Recycle says this creates a strong market opportunity for scalable alternatives to landfill disposal.

Food Recycle’s licensing model combines recurring royalty revenue from operating facilities, profits from turnkey facility construction, and potential carbon credit revenues, providing multiple future income streams as new sites are developed.

The company has already completed successful feed trials with organisations including CSIRO, University of New England and other partners, validating the technology across poultry and aquaculture applications.

“We have always believed food waste should be treated as a resource, not rubbish. The Food Recycle model is a truly circular economy solution,” says Boyle.

“This campaign gives investors the opportunity to support a technology with real environmental and commercial potential, at a time when Australia urgently needs better waste solutions.”
