GREAT AUSTRALIAN BEER FESTIVAL

Geelong’s Great Australian Beer Festival (GABF) celebrates its 9th anniversary with a number of exciting changes with its 2nd outing at the iconic Johnstone Park in Geelong’s CBD, and a new date 15th January, 2022.

Across the road from Geelong train station, getting to the event has never been easier, whether you’re travelling from Melbourne, Regional Victoria or within Geelong itself.

In 2022 Geelong will celebrate more local brewers than ever before. Our local craft beer industry is more vibrant than ever before, and we want to share it with the world! In 2022 we will deliver the event across 2 sessions so you have plenty of room to move, and less crowd to contend with as you sip and sample your way around GABF.

While the event is primarily a massive alfresco beer tasting and appreciation event, it’s also a live music and entertainment feast. The day session will run from 11am to 4pm with free masterclasses, activities for the kids and the best opportunity to mingle with the brains behind the brews. Add entertainment from The Badloves, The Settlement and local act the Violas. The evening session will run from 5pm to 10pm with Geelongs own Piano Bar, roving cabaret performers and live music featuring Art v s Science,  Pirateska Rebellion as well as local acts Beans and Immy Owusu.

New breweries include Mt.Pleasant brewers, Gage Roads, Hop Nation and more to be announced.
